BOINC is a popular service that offers you an app meant to allow you to donate your computer's resources, when it's idle, to various science projects. Using BOINC you can donate the so-called “idle time” of your computer to multiple science projects simultaneously. Famous projects like SETI@home, Climateprediction.net, Rosetta@home, World Community Grid, are supported.

BOINC Monitor is a simple and neat desktop gadget that will help you keep track of the progress level for each BOINC task. As expected, BOINC Monitor will function only when you have BOINC installed on your computer and you volunteered to donate for at least one project. Though it's really simple, neat, lightweight and easy to use, the BOINC Monitor gadget is also highly customizable. It lets you change its size, the colors of graphs or of the whole window, and many other parameters. Furthermore, it comes with plenty of additional options and settings.

To conclude, BOINC Monitor is a nice little desktop gadget that makes checking the progress of BOINC tasks a simple and easy job.
